Support the Moraine Valley Community College Foundation with the purchase of a brick in our new Shakespeare Garden. Share a special message to show your support for Moraine Valley, honor a graduate, remember a loved one, recognize a special occasion or pay tribute to someone who has made a lasting impression in your life.
All funds raised through brick sales go to support the Moraine Valley Foundation’s efforts to provide student scholarships, faculty innovations, college programs, and emergency assistance funds for students.
Moraine Valley Community College is the only community college in Illinois with a Shakespeare Garden. The garden celebrates the lasting legacy of William Shakespeare with the transformation of an area on campus into a blooming garden dedicated to the Bard. Just north of the Fine and Performing Arts Center and surrounded by trees, the garden includes a brick-lined pathway that winds through foliage referenced in Shakespeare’s poems and plays and marked with signage quoting those works.
The 4×8 bricks will be placed throughout the garden and installed once a year. Each brick engraving includes up to three lines with 14 characters per line (including spaces and punctuation). The Foundation staff will alert you when your brick is about to be installed in the garden and the location.
